This is a story that has now unfolded over several months. I first went to MediaOutlet.com trying to just buy a single DVD that I needed for historical purposes doing work as a historian. The company processed my order from what I could tell, and all went just fine to begin with. Then I noticed that I did not really have any good email acknowledging the sale, and did not see the DVD tracking info or anything. I proceeded to email the company using the email: service at mediaoutlet dot com. I did not get a response for a couple days, so I followed up. Then I did not receive a response, or even an automated templated response saying "We have recieved your email", but then at last I received a response from a "Janey", which might well be the female split personality of J.C. Kaelin, their supposed owner.

It is hard to find any valid information on this company, or to reach real people. Mostly it seems to be a front of a business, scam shop, or fraud of some kind by all measure based on how many reviews reflect that people do not receive their orders. But the problem does not end there. I then finally got a response from this "Janey" person, and the email was rude and directed me to an "FAQ" on when to expect my order. I was simply looking for tracking information or something else. I gave it a few more weeks, and then responded. Now I noticed that my email was blocked. Yes, literally, they quite literally blocked my email from sending to service at mediaoutlet dot come at all. I then sent this same email a new message from a different email that I own just to see if I was reading this right?? Could it really be? That I was blocked? Such madness. Pettiness. Childish and pathetic customer service! It was true, they responded with this now: "Become a better person, for your sake and for that of everyone you deal with." Truly astonishingly piss poor customer service. So they failed to give me any kind of update on the DVD, then said it shipped, then said it was cancelled (odd how that could somehow occur after shipping it), then they proceeded to insult me.

I do not think I will ever be seeing that DVD that I ordered... This is early 2023 for reference. This company ought to go out of business completely. They likely are a front for something else out of Bayonne, NJ. I highly recommend reporting them on every possible outlet. Check out their Better Business Bureau scores if you really want to see some abysmal ratings. They score a solid "F"... Stay away!
