A few years ago, I bought a Top Of The Line Keriug Coffee Maker from QVC.  I paid about $ 159.00 for it.  I used it for less then 1 year.  

Then I moved to another area and carefully packed the coffee maker in its original box and over packed it into a cardboard box.  I took the coffee maker with me, in my Dodge Truck and did NOT give it to the movers.

After arriving to my new home, I put the coffee maker in a closet inside the house, while I was fixing up the kitchen.

I took the coffee maker out and set it up.  IT WOULD NOT WORK.  The display kept saying it has  A PRINE PROBLEM.

I called Customer Service and they kept telling me to clean out the metal tip which pokes a hole in the K Cup.  Well that did not work.  Everything I tried did not work.  No matter how many paper clips I used to clean it, I was still getting the MESSAGE ABOUT A PRINE PROBLEM.

From looking on the internet, I see that this PRINE PROBLEM seems to be a common occurance.  I also saw that alot of people are having problems with the Keriug - after about 1 year or less.

The Customer Service person tried to BLAME ME FOR THIS PROBLEM.  I told him that I moved and was careful with the Keriug.  Also that the close I put it in for awhile was dry and clean.

He just kept saying that IT IS MY FAULT THAT I MOVED AND MY FAULT THAT I PUT IT IN THE CLOSET.  He argued with me that the CLOSET MUST BE COLD AND THAT THE KERIUG IS SENSATIVE TO TEMPERATURE CHANGES.

I told him that I moved another simple Mr. Coffee,  coffee maker with me and that one is fine.  He did not seem to care.

He claims that because I put the Keriug in the closet - even though it was still boxed up, that HE CANNOT HONOR THE WARRANTY.  

HIS PROPOSAL IS THAT I BUY ANOTHER KERIUG, FOR 20% OFF.  

I have come to the conclustion that KERIUG COFFEE MAKERS ARE OVERLY ENGINEERED, WHERE TOO MANY THINGS CAN GO WRONG AND ARE NOT FIXABLE - EXCEPT TO SPEND MORE MONEY ON THIS OVER PRICED, AND WORTHLESS MACHINE.

I have read online that KERIUG Customer Service was rated a 1.6 stars out of a possible 5 star rating.

That poor rating, from others, speaks volumes about the Keriug company and their lack of good customer service.

NO, I did not buy another one.  Just sold the old one in a Garage Sale for $ 5. because that is about all it is worth.

My advise to all out there, is to buy a simpler coffee maker, and that will last you longer than the Expensive, Prone to Breakdowns, Keriug.

I thought this experience should be told on this rip off report site, because I feel the Keriug Company and their Coffee Makers are indeed rip offs to the public.

I am the author on my personal experience with Keriug Coffee Makers.  It was good to be able to write up my bad experience with both the product itself and the customer service of the Keriug Company on this website.

However, I never got any justice from this company.  They clearly do not treat their customers fairly.  They have no concern that their product is just an overpriced, and over engineered coffee maker - with Prine and other issues.

It was a whim that I bought it on one of those TV Shopping Channels.  A complate waste of $ 159. plus sales tax.

I only used it a few times.  I moved and took the Keriug directly with me, and packed in the original box.

After setting it up, it failed to work.  Prine Problem that I could never fix.

Just because I told the customer service representative that I stored it in my closet (in my house) for a few months, before taking it out again to use, THAT GAVE HIM THE REASON TO PUT THE BLAME ON ME.

I bought a coffee maker from Walmart and it works just fine.  Even has a duel way of making a whole pot on one side and using a K-Cup on the other side.

I am sure, that, if I ever had a problem, Walmart would make it right for me.

So I stand firmly behind this report, and advise people that there are other fine coffee makers on the market, and Keriug is simply a piece of junk - sold by a company with very poor customer service.

It appears you are suffering from self-directed anger. Failing to cope with your emotions can be harmful to your mental health. It is okay to forgive yourself for neglecting the ongoing mineral build-up inside your coffee maker.

 

If this is a frequent emotion, you may want to consider grief counseling. If this is an isolated incident, then simply let it go and move forward. Over time, you will learn to suppress your emotions. You can do it.

To all SANE people out there reading this true report on Keriug Coffee Brewers!

Why in the world does this COAST care about someone writing their bad experience with KERIUG COFFEE MAKERS?

Only 1 reason comes to mind.  He is a cyber stalker - using different names - to harass people.

Perhaps he has mental issues and needs to see a doctor desperately?

Also, why in the world would the RIP OFF REPORT allow this kind of harassment, I do not know.

Their site is supposed to be safe for all people to post their negative experiences with any company or professional.

Coast - is your real name Chuck S?

Let the world know.

To the Sane Folks Out There.

I cannot say SANE for this "COAST" idiot, because he is NOT SANE.

I recently joined this site because I thought it was a SAFE place to write up a negative review on Keriug Coffee Makers.  By the way, there are lots of BAD REVIEWS ON KERIUG OUT THERE ON OTHER WEBSITES.

I write up this true experience report, and this CREEP named COAST, starts attacking my report - right off the bat, within hours of the report, and my rebuttal to match his rebuttal.

Now that he wrote up another STUPID rebuttal, I am inclined to write this up.

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE?  WHY DOES THIS JERK, CALLING HIMSELF ' COAST " DOING THIS TO SOMEONE HE DOES NOT KNOW?

SINCE THERE ARE MANY BAD REVIEWS ON KERIUG COFFEE MAKERS, WHY IS HE MAKING MY REPORT HIS PRIMARY MISSION?

You know something, COAST - this is NOT your real name.  I have noticed that you are harassing other people out there.

No. I don’t work for Keurig either.

 

You considered it vital to inform us of the model vehicle you used to transport the coffee maker yet eluded the fact that you expected warranty service on an out-of-warranty product.

What is going on here?  I recently joined this rip off report website and just yesterday, February 18, 2024, I wrote a report on my bad experience with Keriug Coffee Makers.  February 18, 2024 was a Sunday.  This ignorant person, calling themselves, "Coast" wrote it up the very same day.  This response is obviously not from the Keriug Company.

So, who is this person?  Some crack pot out there, with too much time to waste - making unfounded comments on a coffee machine.

First of all, I moved, and explained how very careful I was packing the coffee maker and taking with me myself.  Nothing should have happened to make it stop working when I handled it with kid gloves.

Then, this idiot states that the Prine Problem is my own fault because I "allowed mineral deposits to accumulate???"  How does this person know this.  He does not know me and I do not know him!

This person responded within a few hours after the report was live and online on this rip off report.

I treated this coffee maker very well indeed.  If anything I expected a reply from Keriug, but their customer service is AWFUL to say the very least.

I invite this "coast" and everyone else to take a look at a website called Trust Pilot and see the horrible Keriug reviews of people who are just plain disgusted with Keriug products.  They all mostly note BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THAT IS TRUE! 

So, what is with you COAST?  Do you work for Keriug?  What is with you that you feel the need to write assumptions, of that I was to blame for this over priced, over engineered coffee maker - when you have no evidence to back it up!

Get a Life, Coast.  Better Still Buy a Keriug, and when it breaks down in a few months or a year, then you will probably rue the day you spent your money on this unreliable coffee maker.

By the way the Keriug Company in Massachusetts has a beautiful, expensive headquarters.  I guess they make their money by overcharging people for their coffee makers, that don't last, and then give the consumers bad service.

No more Keriugs for me.

Your warranty request was declined not due to storage but because your product is outside of the one-year warranty.

 

You created the problem by failing to follow the transporting and storage directions in the provided Use & Care Guide. You permitted a mineral build-up inside your coffee maker.
