Whitehall Cavaliers is a puppy mill owned and operated by JaLayne Grow in Folsom, California.  She is a breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. This woman is a puppy mill with multiple litters and coming soon ads (for upcoming litters) posted year around on AKC marketplace.

She is advertising on AKC, and using photos of the same 2 parents to advertise all of her upcoming litters so people don’t know how many dogs she has on her premises. She refuses to disclose the number of dogs she owns and deletes postings on her Facebook timeline so people cannot track the number of litters she is producing.

Her ad on AKC runs steadily throughout the year with puppies for sale and/or puppies coming soon. She claims to have between 30-42 Champions in all of dogs’ her 5 generation pedigrees. She does not show her dogs in AKC events and will not disclose pedigrees because her dogs likely do not have the number of champions to support her claims.

The dogs she is breeding came from puppy mills themselves, which would be evident based on the breeders’ name displayed on the pedigrees, which is another reason why she refuses to disclose pedigrees. She is purchasing poorly-bred, inexpensive breeding dogs from puppy mills and selling poor quality puppies at high prices to turn over a big profit.

JaLayne Grow does not perform the applicable health screenings (as recommended by AKC and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed club) on any of the dogs she breeds and will not show copies of OFA certifications for any of her breeding dogs. Not only is she mass producing puppies, she is selling puppies from parents she knows nothing about health wise.

She does only “Vet checks” on her dogs, which are not indicative as to whether the puppies will be carriers for genetic issues such as heart disease or heart murmurs. She will not spend the money to do OFAs because she does not care about the quality or health of the puppies she is selling and producing.

Most genetic problems take over 1 yr to develop, which will have exceeded the time frame offered in the health guarantee. Responsible breeders will offer a life-time guarantee on their puppies and buy them back at any time for the full purchase price because they are confident in the health and quality of the puppies they have bred and will stand behind them.

JaLayne Grow is the owner of WhiteHall Cavaliers in Folsom, California 95630 and is currently advertising on AKC Marketplace. This is a PUPPY MILL breeding for PROFIT. Her phone number is (916) 724-9607 and her Facebook Page and AKC Marketplace page are listed below. I also googled their name and found her website, which is clearly not indicative of the number of dogs she owns based on the number of litters she is posting on AKC marketplace throughout the year.

I have been breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for several years and love the breed.  Our family lives on 6 acres and my children help care for our dogs.  Our dogs get regular vet care and are loved and well cared for.  We are not a puppy mill.

I am ALWAYS happy to provide proof of my dogs pedigrees and have absolutely nothing to hide. It is true that there are times when I have more than one litter at once--dogs heats tend to synchronize so that does happen. There are also times when I do not have puppies.  I am very happy to have any prospective buyer come to my house and meet my dogs.

I personally do not know a single breeder who gives a lifetime health guarentee.  It is standard practice to give one year health guarentees for genetic defects.  There are some breeders who give 2 year guarentees but that is unusual.  I have my dogs regularly vet checked and our puppies have their own room in our house and are very loved and well socialized by my children.

I'm happy to provide MANY references from happy buyers and I've never had a complaint from someone who adopted a puppy from me.
