Jack-Phone Scam for Phone System Activation/Service
Purchased/subscribed to Magic Jack. When I received the device, I needed to activate it, so browsed online for installation/activation...and this site was one of the first ones to appear. I spoke to them via the chat feature....then called their TN for assistance. Got a call back an hour later (which seemed pretty inefficient), then a call the next morning.
I also noticed that the (English) "copy" on the site was very clumsy...so I suspected a scam. Luckily before I "went with them," I more carefully investigated...and found that this was the WRONG number for Magic Jack...and properly activated my device.
And, the next morning, when I received their call...I hung up.
