I worked on a project for several weeks for Yohawk directly with Jeremy Yowell, when the project was complete and it came time to pay me and the mineral owners that I had leased he decided he didn't want it anymore. Probably because he is a promoter and could not find the capital to obtain the leases.

I filed suit and won, we agreed on a payment plan and he never followed through. He sold the assets to his friend and closed the company before I could file a lien and have Sherrif sale assets. He puts on a big show, but I would not trust him or the crew that associates with him for anything.

This is not at all accurate. Here’s the real story.

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, August 22, 2020

The "report” was written by Reed McDaniel of Credible Energy. The information he wrote was wrong. One day around early 2016, Reed reaches out to me(jb) stating he has some acreage he can lease to Yohawk. I told him I’d be interested only if he can commit and get leased 100% of the acreage. So, we agreed on his flat fee and he went to work trying to lease this acreage. It took him SEVERAL months to get only 80% or so of the leases committed!

That’s way too long for acreage he supposedly already had ready to lease. Which was obviously incorrect and a false from the get go. So, I told him I didn’t want a portion of it, that I needed all the acreage to make the deal viable for me. Unfortunately, Reed was out there telling the mineral owners he was trying to lease to that Yohawk would be sending them a check. That was a very foolish thing for him to say. I wasn’t going to pay for any of these leases until 100% was committed, just as our deal agreement! Reed telling the mineral owners Yohawk would pay them, and he not having 100 percent committed, made him look bad.

Which in-turn, he tried to blame his bad move on me! This was on him and his bad business decision. So one day nearly 6 or so months later, he sent me an invoice wanting me to pay his "full fee” for only 80-90% of the leases which was worthless to me at this point, I needed 100 percent! He tried to tell me that was good enough and I should pay it. That he promised landowners lease checks. I told him no, I needed 100% as we agreed. I told him this from day one! I told Reed that this was his prospect he found and I needed to have 100 percent in order for me to buy! Its that simple! He didn’t like that and felt that I should of paid anyways.

He just didn’t agree to our deal. Unfortunately, all this happened when the price of oil plummeted. So, financially the leases weren’t worth what he even tried to sell it to me for 6 months later, which I would of bought if he secured 100 percent of the leases as he promised. I have proof of all this and our agreement! I was dealing with bigger issues. Since oil dropped very low my company was hurting financially. Reed has a good friend that is an Attorney. Let me tell you, his friend did everything for free for Reed and tried to rack up my legal bill to dispute this. This whole deal doesn’t represent a great deal of money. But at the time, things were tight for me as I was bleeding cash as oil fell.

So, my Attorney said it would be cheaper to just settle since the legal bills would rack up as his attorney friend was playing nasty. So we settled. Then I sold the company shortly after. Now Reed, as the poor business person he is, is upset the new owner of Yohawk won’t pay him. How is that my fault? I sold Yohawk and it’s debt. I can’t control what the new owner does. I wasn’t running from an asset liquidation, or Sherif sale, that is plain silly!! Which there was no Sherif sale, so bogus. In my opinion, Reed did a shakedown on me. He knew his attorney pal would help him. He lacks integrity and scruples.

He suggests I owe him on a deal he couldn’t make whole, then bullies me with his pal attorney knowing it would rack up more fees than the debt was even worth. Again, all this over $10-15k. It’s very unfair he even written such a report. This shows what kind of character and entitled brat he is. I’m not telling someone to not do business with him. But, he certainly isn’t honest to the deal I made with him. Then he wants to throw a tantrum and write these reports.

As for Me, I own other businesses since Yohawk. I’ve maintained the same people who have been employed with me for over 10 years plus! People don’t stick around if you’re a con or bad business person. I’m not. This is just the unfair venting from a guy I do not owe money to. If the new owner won’t pay him, that’s not on me. Not to mention the whole ordeal is silly to begin with!
