I was shopping at Hobby Lobby on Saturday 11/07/2020. I did not have a purse, but I did carry a large leather shopping bag, which I always carry when shopping. I put my items in this bag while shopping and have done this over the years while shopping in Hobby Lobby. This day was different. I had taken the items out of the bag to sort through what I wanted to purchase and what I decided not to purchase. Again, which I always do when I am shopping at Hobby Lobby for items. The items I had decided to purchase were things for my grandaughers bridle shower. I was on my way back to the wedding isle to take back the unwanted items when a big young man approached me saying" You need to dump your purse with the consealled items that you have in your purse. I told this young man that there was nothing in my bag, and told him it was my shopping bag.

The young man stated "You must have dumped the items when you seen me". First of all, I did not see this young man anywhere, and I was shocked when he approached me. He came very close to me next to the cart I was pushing, where he became very close to me, very close. He was yelling at me, calling me a shopliffter, he also called me an old lady, then old B--ch. I was so humiliated, embarrased and intimidated. I started panting, shaking and almost crying. I had no idea what he was talking about. He said I had to leave the store, so I left the items in the cart, went to the front door to leave. He was calling me a shopliftter throughout the process of getting to the door to leave.

This young man stopped me at the door, said I could not leave, demanded my name and information. I left the store, then 2 police officers were about 100 feet away, the young man called to them and they came over, asked what happened, I tried to tell them, but the young man was saying I had items in my purse. I told them this is my shopping bag. The officer asked if they found anything in my bag, the young man said no.

The officers asked what the young man wanted to do, he said I want to do the No Traspassing notice and he told me I can not come back into any Hobby Lobby stores or I would be charged with trespassing.

I then left, shaking, so scared and began crying, not sure what had just happened. I walked down the street, felt like I was lost and even left my car in front of Hobby Lobby in a parking spot.

I did see the same police officers behind the gas station next to Hobby Lobby. I approaoched them and asked if I could go get me car. They said of course. I told them I did not do anything wrong, that I was a Mormon Missionary and felt so violated, and accused of something that I did not do. I felt bullied, intimadated and falsly accused of something I would never do.

I called the corporate office but they said they can't do anyting about the situation.

I feel that Hobby Lobby does not care about there customers. I have been a customer for over 33 years.

If there is something I could do about this, I would. But if Hobby Lobby corporate doesn't care what happened, then there is no reason to ever shop there again. All I can say is "Beware".
