Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I've been living at Hanover King of Prussia Since September of 2019 and have never missed a rent payment. As a small business owner, I had to close my business on March 17, 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. As a result I faced severe financial difficulties. Hanover Company who rents an apartment unit to me offered a rent deferral program. I filed for a rent deferral on three separate occasions and did not get a response from them.

I then received a notice via mail and at my door that I had to pay +$6400 or vacate the premises. which was very humiliating. I have never been treated like this before. I was a homeowner for 10 years and sold my home last year and now I have to live in a small apartment until I can purchase another home. I am a single mom with a special needs child and Hanover Company threatened to evict me from my residence twice during the Covid-19 Pandemic even after I applied for the rent deferment three times. I went to the leasing office for help, and no one knew what to do, they said only the home office can decide.

The home office did not contact me about my rent deferral request. I told them once this crisis is over I plan to pay all the back rent and future rent. I have never missed a rent payment. After the second request to evict me, I decided to move out and no longer want to be harassed by Hanover Company. They are now saying I am breaking the lease, which is not true. They are the ones who asked me to leave during this Covid-19 Pandemic. They started this ball rolling and now won't take responsibility. Their management is disorganized and treatment is poor.

I am not moving to a new apartment. I'm moving in with generous friends who are also helping me to move out. I sold my home last year because of a divorce. I was threatened to evict my current apartment during this Covid-19 pandemic which is illegal for Hanover Company to do.

I'm a small business owner who's been out of work since March. I am trying to recover from this pandemic just like all small business owners. Isingle mom tryingI I hope this information satisfies your palate.

Missing Information

There seems to be a lot of missing information here.

Unless you are homeless (which it does not sound like you are), if you had no money to pay the rent how exactly did you get the money to move and find a new apartment?

How you got into this position seems like there is a lot more going on. People don't just sell their house and decide to move into an apartment for no reason. If you had the sale of a house, you should have enough reserves to get you through these few months.  There seems to be some pieces missing.

As for paying your rent on-time every month...that equates to about 5 months of payments before this happened. Not really a huge amount of history there.

As for breaking your lease. Yes unless you were actually evicted or had an agreement to leave you did break the lease and could now be subject to the penalties in the lease in this case.
