Freedom Trailers They over charged, then sold a defective trailer, then told me I had to drive the trailer 12 hours, round trip, to have them repair the trailer on site. They have a dealer right here in town, but refused to have said dealer repair the problems. Willacoochee georgia
I gave the requisit down payment and was told it would take 2 to 3 months for the trailer to be ready. Right at two months I was told the price went up! I had already waited two months, so my choice was to bend over and pay, or start from scratch. Since time is money, I paid.
I sent an employee to pick the trailer up. Even though we were told it was ready, it was not. My employee had to wait for it to be finished. When they gave him the trailer, it was raining hard. He did not notice that the ladder they installed was crooked. Not a little crooked, but a lot! To make it straight, the bottom brackets will need to be moved over 4.5". This will leave 4 large holes in the brand new diamond plate metal skirting. The only way to properly repair it is to remove the diamond plate and start over.
My employee then drove a couple of hours and pulled over to get gas. That is when he noticed there was a screw in on of the tires and the tire was leaking. It was a very specific screw. The exact same kind that is used by Freedom trailers to screw the metal skin to the outside of the trailer.
Of course he was too far away to return, so he put the spare on and came home. I can not blame Freedom for the accidental screw. I can blame them for now saying that since we did not see the screw before we left the lot then it is not their problem!
When my employee got home, he realised that one of the side air vents was leaking into the inside of the trailer.
Freedom Trailers respinse is that they will send a new vent and some caulk for me to fix it. They will alo send some 'metal caulk' for me to fill the gaping holes when the ladder is move to be straight.
Lomg story short, when you hire Freedom Trialers, you soon will realize that you work for THEM!
