I joined doordash became dasher. this company is complete scam. i got my dasher kit installed dasher app activated my red card. got my first order delivered the order on time. the app would not let me off the order so i could get another order so i called doordash was informed app was not working right and in order to get another order they would have to cancell order showing i didnt deliver it so the order was cancelled.

After one and a half hours of being on this order it was cancelled even though i picked it up and delivered it. so i get a second order and after looking for 20 minutes for the coffee shop that was 3 blocks away from the address they gave me i ordered the coffee tried to pay for it with my red card that door dash issued me to pay for food.

It kept declining after 4 tries i payed for the order out of my pocket and delivered it to customer. told her i had to pay out of my pocket for order showed her ticket where i paid. she told me she paid doordash and tiped.

again the app kept me on that order and i called again to doordash was told cards sometimes dont work and in order for me to get off this order it would have to be cancelled and doordash again cancelled the order even though i paid for it and delivered it so i wasted another hour and half on second order.

this is complete scam they recruit with lies about how fast a person can make deliverys and make up to 25 dollars an hour i used my car and made 2 complete orders and recieved absolutely nothing for 3 hours time and paid for one order out of my pocket. each order says tips included in base pay for order in other words tips are kept by doordash.

Door Dasher Here Calling You Out!

Okay I am a driver for Door Dash, have been for about 3 years with over 1000 successful deliveries under my belt. So this whole complaint is confusing, and probably not true. None of this sounds to be true. Now please understand I am not trying to defend Door Dash really, I just hate when people blatantly lie about something I am knowledgeable in. This is one of those times so let me go ahead and blast this person . First off, Door Dash would never cancel a delivery after it was delivered. That makes no sense because the last thing they want to have to do is cancel an order. From personal experience, there were a couple of times the app got stuck for me too. First time, I restarted my phone and that did the trick. Second time, I sent a quick text to Dasher support. They completed the order on their end and I was on my way. Secondly, for the app to.have glitched on you that severely on two orders in a row is unheard of. And finally, I too have had to pay for a red card order out of my own pocket. All you have to do is snap a picture of the receipt and then either attach it to am email to Dasher Support telling them the order info, or you can open up a chat box with Dasher Support via the app, attach the picture, and tell them the info that way. It has always taken 30 mins at the most to get reimbursed by them. And it is illegal for them not to pay you for deliveries you have completed so I'm not sure what really happened, but they have to pay you. And it is also illegal for them to keep your tips. The customer may have not tipped or maybe you misunderstood something, but they are not stealing tips. Also, why would you even tell the customer you paid for the order out of.your own pocket? They already paid for the order and took care of the tip through the Door Dash platform before you even received the order. So were you expecting them to pay you back? Not only did you probably put that customer in an awkward position, you represented yourself as unprofessional. The Dasher app has lots of info specifically for new Dashers to learn the ins and outs of how to deliver for them. You could also get info from the internet. Plenty of Dashers blogging about the ways of the Dasher. Reddit has some forums for Door Dash itself and multiple others on general information for all third party delivery platforms. There are lots of Dashers with channels on YouTube. I could go on and on. Learn how to do the job properly, and actually try to complete some deliveries before you try to complain about it.
