The BBB in NY is nothing but a bunch of hypocrites! All they care about are the businesses and I think businesses are paying their way out of problems. I contacted them about a company and they treated me like dirt. A really hateful lady called my home today and disrespected me and acted hateful towards me. I am really upset by their actions. I wanted to call the BBB head office and complain on her but I figure that nothing would be done because the whole company is probably full of people just like her. The BBB is not out to help anyone who is a consumer!

Hi! Thank you for understanding. I contacted the website and opened a complaint about how I was treated. I am sure they will not do nothing about it. I feel like I am not being treated well as a human being. I am really upset with her tone. She was a hispanic female I believe due to her accent. I was at first hoping it was just the accent that made me feel she was being hateful until the conversation went further I noticed that she was indeed being hateful to me. The tone of voice and being hung up on hurt me. I was quite calm and kind to her. She called me in ten minutes after an email inquiry and was on me like I was a criminal. I do feel my rights as a consumer were violated here and I deserve respect.

Sorry for your bad experience

I don't contact them directly too much anymore due to their website being quicker. When I did, I had no bad experiences.  The head of the BBB in the town where I live was a friend of my wife's. It would appear, taking your report at face value, that you were indeed mis-treated. If it were me, I would follow up on the call to their head office.   Good luck.

BBB disrespected me and I never raised my voice to them.

In response to Ken: I was  not able to raise my voice or yell and I stayed calm the entire time. I had no reason to be mistreated by this individual. I tell you one thing just because you did not have a bad experience does not mean that others will not. Many people have and each office has different individuals with separate characters. She even hung up on me and that is uncalled for in my opinion. I kept my cool and nothing should have triggered it. She got smart with me from the beginning of the conversation. Also, how often do you contact them that you have become a pro at knowing how they treat people?

that you were courteous and stayed calm and reasonable, right?  You do know, you can look up any business on the BBB website, don't you?  Many times, if we figure we're going to be dissed, it somehow, just keeps happening.  I've NEVER had this kind of experience with the BBB personnel and wonder what triggered it?
