What happened when and with the bankruptcy is irrelevant - what you have is a timeshare company that wants a second bite at the apple they couldn't get the first time, so they reposted the debt hoping they will get paid. If you don't go back and do this now, they will be able to adversely affect your credit.
That's what filing for bankruptcy was supposed to prevent. Don't come to this website expecting anyone to do anything? The only thing they will do is post your complaint - they can't do anything else other than that.
Now, you can either do what I recommended yourself or you can get your bankruptcy attorney involved for a fee. The item should not appear on your report - that's the intent of bankruptcy and your creditors need to suck it up and accept the fact they can't get your money. Send the agencies copies of BK papers showing the debt was discharged, and it will be removed. Best of luck to you....

This was all done years ago when Bankruptcy was declared and finished. If I go back to my attornies now who handled this complaint it is going to cost me more than a thousand dollars. I have talked to with attornies who are my friends since elementary jr high and high school age and beyond. They said do not get the attornies involved who helped me more then 10 years ago. Did good job then but getting them involved in something again is going to cost me lots of money that I do not have. Remarried since they came into picture thinking they are trying to go after new wifes money and assets which I will not do. I have filed complaints with BBB and all three reproting agencies. If we have to I will get divorced on record so they cannot go after my wifes accounts.

If your debt was effectively discharged in bankruptcy, then write the 3 agencies including a copy of your bankrupcy paperwork with the date and the debts discharged. If all is in order, the debt will be removed. You should also indicate to the agencies that this debt should never come back onto your report. Even if the maintenance fees were for the period in which you did own the timeshare, if you BK attorney did what he/she was supposed to do, then that debt was discharged, even during the period you owned the property.
Let the collection agency eat the debt....
