Allen Edward Appliance Repair (60minutesappliancerepair.com) DO NOT USE THEM!! BIG RIP OFF! My boyfriend called this company on 03/23/2022. I think we would have been find if we were charged $250 with part, but $361 is just a total rip off! Los Angeles california

My boyfriend called this company on 03/23/2022. Their main office is actually in Tarzana, however their website show Los Angeles (Westside area). The service guy showed up a little later than expected, no big deal.
He told us it was the starter that needed to be replaced. He quoted my boyfriend $361 to repair. My boyfriend said let's fix it (he is not very resourceful and not very handy, this kind of problem easily stressed him out!). The repair man went to his car to look for the parts (which took more than 20 minutes just to look for the parts). He came back and installed it for less than 20 mins! I couldn't believe it! It was a quick job and it made me wonder how much the part really costs.
I looked it up and it only cost $48. I looked it up at partselect.com.

Let's say it's $60 with shipping and taxes. $361-$60, that's $301 for a 20 mins job! They have a $65 charge for service call, which they said would be waived if we had them fix the refrigerator. I don't believe so. They included the $65 service charge plus $236/ hour for service fee. What a total rip off!. Any good reviews you see posted online, most like are fake reviews! OVERCHARGED BY $150! Los Angeles california
