Adult Education Center Texas They misled me. Pearland Texas
I felt like they baited me in and switch on me. False advertising, in my opinion. I went there for English/GED classes but classes were about how an unemployed person can get a job. I went through many tests and devoted much of my time to signing up for classes.
Then once classes started, there were many classes from people from Workforce Solutions designed to help unemployed people find jobs. But I already have career plans - I just wanted English/GED. They should have told me that from the beginning so I wouldn't have wasted so much time signing up.

We at the Adult Education Center offer our apologies to you for feeling misled. Our core offerings including the High School Equivalency Classes are geared towards helping learners earn their HSE certificate. Helping learners obtain their goals is a priority. Job Readiness and Career Exploration is a vital component of our work as well. As our learners earn their HSEs, we want to ensure they are ready for the workforce. In addition, we offer career readiness courses. For the summer session, you attended pilot sessions that were offered monthly and covered the basics.
We have made note of your concerns. We will ensure we are more thorough on how we communicate the offerings of our classes during the enrollment process so that learners are fully aware of the content and expectations. We will offer a variety of career readiness workshops for learners with employment. Please note, we offer distance learning opportunities where you can work on your HSE at home plus attending class.
