I bought a $2200 laptop from Gateway and needed a new hard drive as the one it came with was too small. I then bought new hard dive but needed my operating systems disk copy. I called Gateway Arizona #800 customer support on jun 3 and was told they would send my copy for free in 3-5 days as part of my contract. After jun 7 I called back as I did not receive my disk. It is impossible to get help from Gateway quickly on their 800# it took many calls and over 1 hour to get to a person on this second attempt to get my OP system. They told me that it was B.O. and I would get it by jun 17. On jun 17, I again did not receive my Op system and spent 2 hours over 5 attempts to get help on the 800 #. I was again (by customer support) told that I may get it by June 23. So far Gateway has lied and lied to me, changing there story over and over. I believe I will never get my OP system and there is no one at Gateway who will help or be responsible, and no one a good customer can contact, as Gateway does not stand by there contracts.
