I've been looking for a specific and hard to find plush stuffed animal toy for years now (to replace one my son had as a child). Found that plush on the website www.mojehgoods.top which says they sell only to the USA, and imply they are also in the US (they aren't). The website seems professional enough and has all the bells and whistles a legit company should have. They have the usual "your payment is safe with us" stuff, 30 day returns, etc. Site claims they take all sorts of payment including Paypal (they don't).
I went to purchase the plush, which was priced reasonably with reasonable shipping and by the time I came to the payment section, I'd already filled out a bunch of screens. Payment section only allowed credit cards, not Paypal (which is the method I normally use for online shopping). I hadn't come across any real red flags, so I went ahead and paid with my debid card. Got a confirmation email that the payment had been processed....then nothing. My order confirmation stated that they plush would be mailed with in 7 days and tracking would be provided.
Yeah, nothing. I tried contacting the site through thier help desk email and onsite contact form, still nothing. A month went by with me trying to get hold of them and getting no response and no plush. Then thier website disappeared for several days. At that point I filed with my bank to get my money back and cancelled my debit card to protect my bank account, etc.
After several more days, the website came back up, same products, some new legalise on the site, still no actual contact information....New disclaimers were added...saying a whole lot of you may not get what you order, only recourse is to return (which you have to actually talk to them to do...and you can't talk to them because they don't respond), they are actually in Hong Kong, etc.
I did eventually get my money back from my bank, but never got anything from the website at all.
Since then, the same thing has happened to several other peolpe I know who are looking for rare or hard to find toys....they've found them on the site, ordered and never gotten them. It is totally a bait site, they don't actually have the products they advertise for sale.
