Called and was told that a repair of my transmission would be between 1500 - 1800 which included the 900.00 diagnostics. The price depended on if we wanted a 12, 24 or 36 month warranty. Made appointment for 8am Saturday. Was told that the diagnostics and repair would take 3 days. Contacted them on Tuesday morning after not hearing from them on Monday and was told that they just started working on it. Called them in the afternoon and was told that the repair would cost 2100.00 and that was only the 12 month warranty.

They know that once you have to pay them 900.00 you won't take it somewhere else and have to pay an additional 1500-1800 to do the repair. I feel this is a bait and switch deal. The only reason I went with them was because they are a nationwide company. You expect this type of shady deal from a back yard mechanic not a national company. I am just sick because the truck isn't worth 2100.00 and now I can't afford to take it somewhere else and I can't pay my mortgage because I have to pay them an additional 300.00 I had not budgeted for. Bad business practice. Not honest.

You called them and asked for an ESTIMATE over the phone. They did not look at your truck,

and your complaining over $300,  you received an estimate and I really dont think $300 is that

far off the mark they quoted you over the phone and not seeing the vechicle. You say you4r sick because the truck is'nt worth $2100 but it is worth $1800. if my car was worth $2000 and a repair was going to cost $1800 I would not do the repair.

So if the original repair quoted to you was $1800 why would fix it if the truck is not worth $2100

You make no sense at all by stating that comment.

The 15-18 was an estimate, just that an estimate, the actual cost is 21 so either cancell the repair or fix it
