Complaint Review: Invention and Innovation - IINV Tech - Karachi Sindh

I just can’t stress enough how infuriating and frustrating our project with IINV Tech has been, and I feel obligated to share this frustrating story with others to prevent them from scamming more people.

It all started with what seemed like a promising partnership 2 years back. The project had been fully paid for and was supposed to last a few months. Excited about the potential of our project, I hired with Hamid and IINV Tech via Freelancer to take care of the development of an App for our Startup. However, what followed was nothing short of an absolute nightmare spanning over years.

From the outset, Hamid and Amir from IINV Tech provided us with nothing except empty promises and deception. After hiring IINV, they were initially responsive and did some of the work. But after a few weeks things started to turn. While working through the Freelancer platform, they asked us to release milestones early even though the development goals for those specific parts were not achieved, saying that they needed the money and would implement everything in the next milestone. 

Back then, not thinking much of it, and that perhaps some work could only be finished after other integrations from future milestones were completed, the funds were released. I was very wrong though. The same kept happening over months, constantly asking for more money while only delivering minimal work with unacceptable quality with the apps being full of bugs and missing 80% of what should have been done.

After becoming more worried about the situation and confronting them, I was ignored for months on end constantly delaying development of our app, citing various different excuses as to why nothing was done. There were multiple occasions that they refused to further work on it, extorting us for more money and a participation in our company, even though a fixed budget and time frame was negotiated way before starting the project.

Now after more than 2 years, and over 5k invested they simply dropped our project again refusing to deliver what has been paid for, leaving us with nothing except a huge loss of money.

They assured us of their expertise and commitment to our project, but it quickly became obvious that their words were nothing more than lies. Despite our best efforts to collaborate and communicate effectively, they continuously demanded more money, citing unforeseen complications and additional requirements etc., while not delivering anything, constantly saying that features would be implemented after the next payment, which obviously didn’t happen. 

Each payment seemed to unlock a new set of excuses, pushing our project past one deadline after another for months on end, sometimes not hearing back for 2 months at a time.

Years passed, and with each passing day, our frustration grew. Despite our full payment, IINV Tech failed to deliver anything substantial. 

What they presented as a ‘UI’ was little more than a non-functioning slideshow, and important integrations promised were nowhere to be found. It was evident that we had been deceived, left with a broken app full of bugs and a hollow shell of what was promised.

Frustrated and desperate for resolution, I confronted Hamid and Amir again, threatening legal action if they did not fulfil their obligations. In a moment of temporary compliance, they agreed to resume work, giving us a short moment of hope that our project might finally see completion. However, this hope was short-lived.

Once again, IINV Tech demonstrated their true intentions, which was to delay and scam us and do absolutely nothing. After giving us false promises again, they constantly delayed the delivery for months again, and now abandoned the project altogether. Despite being fully paid more than the initially negotiated rates. They are refusing to deliver any further work, leaving us in a state of extreme disbelief and frustration. This company and their “team” do absolutely nothing and the quality of their work is beyond pathetic. 

Now, after months of unresponsiveness and further delays, they abandoned our project altogether, effectively washing their hands of any responsibility. It’s a devastating outcome, leaving us with wasted resources, shattered dreams, and a large amount of money lost.

This is to warn everyone: Stay far, far away from Hamid and their company. These individuals are nothing but scammers who will gladly take your money, extend your project indefinitely, and leave you with a non-functional disaster. My experience has been a complete nightmare, and I really hope no one else falls victim to their deceitful tactics.
