Winston trucking, inc Wemoveboats We move boat's W T. Inc SCAM Shipping My Boat Across Country OVERCHARGED, DAMAGED BOAT, THREATENED Sealy Texas
I went on the shipping site called Uship to ship my newly purchased sailboat across country. I was immediately contacted by Mark with wemoveboats, or whatever they are (Winston trucking), first he sent me an outrageously high offer then attempted to contact me OFF THE SITE, to make me a much lower offer. Saying that the Uship site is a total ripoff and all they do is exchange our phone numbers for a 30% cut, and that if I decided to book him OFF the Uship Platform, he would pass that 30% savings on to me, SOUNDS GREAT... RIGHT!! i went ahead and booked them to ship my boat, that's when everything went to hell and all promises went out the window!!
First they were OVER 30 DAYS LATE to pickup. Had to change both yards scedules several times costing me more money in storage and haul outs. When they finally picked up my boat, the boat showed up with scratches, road debris and scum, missing parts, dinged up mast, AND THE CABIN WAS MOLESTED..!! and they wanted to charge me an additional $2500 for EXTRA WEIGHT...!!! They treated me with total disrespect, talked to me like I am a total idiot and I should have known the boat will arrive in this condition. they demanded CASH, and all Mark was screaming in my face was "NO CASH NO SPLASH" ...
WOW, I should have known the first time he called me off the site.. shoud have followed my gut feeling, he was a smooth talker with lots of promises.! I am only writing this hoping to save the next person from these scammers. WATCH OUT FELLOW BOATERS, IT WAS ROUGH SEAS.

We never accept cash for a payment it is in fact against company policy. In fact our contract clearly states we do not accept cash.
In fact we had on customer who attempted to pay with cash the Driver contacted Account receivable and the customer had to go get a bank check for the payment.
I checked our records we did not move any boats from that area at that time. So if you would like to list your BOL number located in the upper left hand corner of the form i will be glade to check it against my records.
Based on the fact you didn't take a picture of the Invocie or BOL to add to your report here you must have the wrong company. Or you are a boat hauler like the other response says and your to chicken to put your name on it.
We are an very good carrier with a very good safety record. We have had no claims for more than 6 years now.
Thank You
