VIDEO PROFESSOR Marjor Ripoff - Fraudulent Advertising, Unsolicited Shipments, Unauthorized Charges Denver Colorado
Like so many others, I watched the ads with the personable John Scherer, so warm and friendly, for monts. Finally I decided to go online and order the tutorials for QuickBooks. I know you don't get nuttin' fer nuttin' so wasn't surprised to get the three disks with the instructions to return one or pay $69.95. Because I felt the tutorial useful, I just let them charge me.
THEN!!!!! I received a second set...."Learn the Internet".....This one I definitely don't need. You are cautioned to call them if you didn't order the disks. Yeah!! Right!! Try to get through to a real person.
But, I didn't order it so I have no legal responsibility to do anything so tossed it. In May my credit card account was charged for another $6.95 and $69.95. What's more, I just received a third set of disks..."Learn Your Computer"...give me a break, who would order Quickbooks and then need "Learn Your Computer?" Once again, you call and waste time because you don't get a live person, just recordings and cut-offs. When I contacted my credit card company, I learned that there was the expected $6.95 charge for shipping in Jan., and the $69.95 expected charge in Feb., THE KICKER IS THAT THEY CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $6.95 SHIPPING FEE with the Feb. charge.
Not only will I be working with my cc company, I will be writing my state's attorney general, every TV or cable channel I see advertising these products, as well as the BBB in Denver and in my locality. These are steps that every other victim should take.
