Complaint Review: Tracfone Wireless

Tracfone Wireless Didn't provide minutes it charged me for. Refuses to give a refund. Miami Florida

I bought 250 minutes for my Tracfone cellular service. My phone only showed 130 added minutes. I called "customer service" (an oxymoron for Tracfone)and was told that "the System says" I was given the 250 minutes.

I spoke to a supervisor who said the same thing. I offered to send in my phone (bought from Tracfone)and/or to have them check my call usage to show that I didn't receive the minutes paid for, and they brushed me off.

After speaking to several people and getting nowhere, I asked them to terminate my service and drop the charge on my credit card. They said they couldn't drop the charge(!!!). I reminded them that I hadn't used one minute of the new minutes purchased. They still refused to drop the charge, even though I reminded them that it's against the law to charge for a product/service that wasn't provided in full.

I have filed a complaint with the S. Florida BBB and am awaiting the outcome. Needless to say, I will never do business with them again. Tracfone buyers beware - you may not get all the minutes you paid for. And if you don't, Tracfone is powerless to solve the problem, because "the System says...."
