I somehow got a call from the company 'fresh organisation' in regards to a job application which i had not actually applied for.
As i was quite desperate for work i thought i would go along to the interview which they had quite eagerly asked me to attend.
naturally, as soon as i got home i searched the company name and got directed to
http://www.thefreshorganisation.co.uk/contact.htm which appeared to be rather vague, so i started to question this companies authenticity. No additional information was available on the search engine, how on earth would they expect people to prepare for interviews without even naming other companies they've worked for?
Walking into the 'office' was quite a shock, the staff and manager all seemed to be no more than 25 and certainly did not look professional; i felt out of place wearing simple black trousers and shirt compared to the assistant in a ridiculously short mini dress, bright pink heels and pink hooped earrings.
The employees didn't appear to be working either, they were just walking around the floor trying to look as though they were busy. By this point i was sure this was some sort of scam so looked around the room trying to find some sort of additional information about the company, but nothing was found. The information inside the few leaflets dispersed on the table were of other companies.
The manager asked me to walk into his office and the first thing he said was 'I know you're probably thinking i'm quite young, i started my career in business straight after college and managed to work my way up to managerial status at my age of 23, i believe i've done quite well for myself...that's a little information about myself is there anything you want to know?'
so i thought i'd take the opportunity to ask what his 'company' actually do in a sarcastic tone to which he replied 'we're an active marketing company who work to sell ideas for other companies'...by this point i simply wanted to walk out of the room, i knew i was wasting my time but thought it would be quite amusing to hear what else he would come up with.
HE then spoke further about how tough the job is and that working hours can reach 9pm!
After leaving the interview i knew i'd get a call back in the evening saying i got accepted into the company, after a few hours i got the call saying they wanted me to go back and work a full day on the job as 'training' from 9-8pm, obviously i refused the job.
My sister just spoke to me saying she got a call from a company called 'fourways' who preach the same things, their website appeared to say the exact same things as 'fresh organisation' and the company address is identical...might i add the company seems to have relocated...i'm guessing they will carry on doing so to avoid being caught...though they were stupid enough to leave their old websites running.
i noticed this company has not been mentioned here so thought i'd post a report before anyone else gets conned into it.
