Tegile (Now the Taurus Project) Pat Petroskey Alok Agrawal and Rohit Khetrapal Stolen Money and Unlawful Termination Newark California
I kept this quiet for years now, but now the company has been bought by Western Digital and further problems have come.
1st) I was the very first support guy, built the support team from the ground up until Pat Petrowksi was hired remotely in Colorado. She immediately hired all her friends from a previous company and started doing things to make me feel very uncomfortable at work. The workplace was so uncomfortable for support employees in california that other employees including a very good friend of mine who I hired, quit leaving me as the only one in the state.
After a multiple drive failure that caused corruption for their customers data, they setup a meeting with me and said they decided to let me go. I asked what the issue was and they had no evidence, or any reason other than "the feeling is you are not responsive" - I promptly showed my chatlogs and email threads where I was responsible even after hours and weekends and there was no proof of their claim. They used my firing to justify flaws in their design.
I have never been fired before or since, and never even had an issue with my managaer, as my linked in profile contains good reviews from every single manager I ever had other than Pat Petroskey who seems to think intimidation and firing is good for the company.
The glassdoor reviews for this company show clearly that either they give a GREAT review and are likely HR representitives doing damage control, or they are ex-employees giving the lowest rating possible and advising management to value employees.
2nd) I know I was paid more because I was given a nice raise and a yearly bonus which was for the risk I took leaving a very good job at HP. I know this is a major factor in why I was let go, also the fact that the new manager Pat Petroskey was now working from Colorado and wanted her team to be local was thel real reason. They were just not professional enough to say this, and decided to use my termination as a tool to convince customers they will do better next time. Of course that is not possible when their system is designed and has multipl drive failures that corrupt data which is out of my control as I am not a design engineer and could only bring the issues to engineering.
3rd) Alok Argarwal hired me and he even begged me to stay at the company over dinner when I was going to quit. They promised me job security when I said I was uncomfortable with Pat and worried about my job.
As a favor for Alok I stayed with the company even after my close friend quit and it was clear the support organization was going to s**t. When Alok had a baby, I sent him a gift bag. We seemed to be good friends, but this was all propaganda to get me to stay. When I was terminated, Alok would not longer return my calls or communicate with me. After I did him a favor and stayed on, after I built the entire team for him and handles support alone for a year, no response.
4th) When Tegile let me go, I had vested stock and optefd to pay for the vested stock in case Tegile were to be aquired. I helped build the company, and figured this is a good investment. Well I was wrong, it was a scam. I got a letter in the mail yesterday indicating that Western Digital has purchased Tegile and changed the name to Porject Taurus. The money I paid for stock they said was gone. They will not be paying for the stock that I purchased with cash, and will not convert it to Western Digital stock of anything. So all my money was flushed down the garbage.
I would give the advice:
1) Dont buy tegile products due to poor engineering
2) Do not work for tegile due to poor and inconsiderate management
3) Do not invest in tegile as they will steal your money if they can find a way to to it legally or maybe even illegally, I have not contacted my lawyer yet.
I have been in the tech industry over 20 years, worked for VMware, Hitachi, HP, etc. and have always excellerated my career and been an assett to the company. The same was true at Tegile until they hired crap management and hired their unqualified friends to help ruin the company.
