On August 28, 2006, I received two documents in the mail, from the aforementioned people. Knowing that I had not signed up for any kind of lotto I was pretty sure it was a scam and guess what, it is.

These people have you call them to clear the real looking check they send to you. You are instructed to go ahead and deposit the check into your personal checking account, then wire the required funds to them for processing your winnings.

I never deposited the check into my account, and began to smell a rat when I was told that the funds were to be used for processing the winnings and sending them to my account in the United States.

I don't know for sure what would have transpired, but I am positive that my personal account would have suffered a major overdraw. These people need to be stopped, and severly punished.

First off and foremost, Ferrellgas's corporate offices are not located in Liberty Montana, They are located in Liberty MISSOURI!
Second, the telephone area code listed is for Alberta Canada!

The only things they have right are the company name and the zip code.
I would suggest that every one that gets these letters or coupons or checks do one thing first. Check the telephone number using your telephone company, DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER IN THE MAILED PACKAGE. Call information and ask them for the number of the company in question.

Call the companies legitimate number and alert them to the scam! I can assure you they want to know if their name is being used for fraud. Most of these companies have their names and logos copy written.
