Complaint Review: Roomster.com. - Roomster App

I was looking for a place to rent, I went to craigslist to find one. When I saw an add that I was interested in I text the number 567-228-0783 on the ad. I received a same day response, The reasons was: "Hi, Yes! my rental space still avail & I'm the home owner. For more info or set up an appointment to view. Only security reason Apply/Reg. here:' bit.ly/2CfrpI3 ' & make an appointment up on there then I'll contact u soon." I did as instructed. They ask for your drivers license and other personal information as well as a credit card.

I had to pay $14.95 in order to set this up. I did not see the listing of the home owner. So I text again letting him know. He responded: N.B: (For security reason submitted room details & Appointment process on there so just login to continue & vrify yourself to set up). I explained that I did that. No response. I asked if this was a scam. No response. I contacted Roomster support. Unfortunately they said we dont refund once the account is set up.

Beware! Roomster.com is placing fake ads for rentals that do not exist! They took my money! I'm talking to my credit card company to get a refund, and reporting them anywhere I can.
