Complaint Review: Rent-A-Center

Rent-A-Center Gilbert in the Van Nuys Office I have tried to purchase my computer from Rent-A-Center from one of their centers in Palmdale, and they were jerks, then I was transferred to the next worst customer service from the next office located in Lancaster, CA, then I was transferred to the Van Nuys office and I thought that I had found some interesting people, but they will call you everyday once you make a payment and that got to much for me, so I tried to discuss that with them then I had to take the steps to file a complaint with their office in Texas, but that didn't work, because they have referred me to the District Manager and he's hard to catch up with and he calls when he finds the time to contact you. *All, I am trying to do is pay my bill, workout a deal to purchase my computer and never ever deal with this group of people again they are all (((REDACTED))). I am not saying that all (((REDACTED))) are bad,there are good people in all races, but I am finding it hard to deal with the way they treat you as a client, they don't seem to understand that I am a client not a member of a family that they don't really like and respect. I am not use to the treatment, they seem to put women down and they are so marcho until it's really right in your face. I am use to kissing upto someone to receive proper customer service. My computer has been switched out three times and I thought that the third time was going to be a charming experience but it has been the worst experience of my life. I can't believe that these guys has a personal vendetor against me; it's almost like they hate the black race, but to hear them tell you that they have black friends, I don't feel that I feel hate and I don't want to deal with you, because we see you as a problem. I walked into the Van Nuys office last week to pay my bill and Gilbert was so angry until he couldn't say nothing nice to me, he was that upset and he refused to accept my payment, because he wanted me to pay more than I had in my bank account, I thought that it was a regular two week payment but I had missed a payment due to my schedule. I tried to make the payment and he said that I am not accepting your payment today not unless you pay the entire amount, so I mailed him what I could afford $82.00 and he continued to call me. so I called the district office in Texas and asked to speak with Gil Torress and it has taken him until today to give me a call. I have returned his call to inform him that I have made a partial payment and I will make another payment this Friday, but he hasn't returned my call. Rent-A-Center has been a Nightmare on Elm Street. All I want to do is be treated like a lady with respect not bullied by their bullies male staff members that are working in each of the Rent-A-Centers, this is not good experience for me I am almost afraid to contact their office anymore because nothing is being done to make me feel safe and secure. This is why I am telling the truth online so that you can read my truthful experience. I want to move on and pay my bill without being harassed or disrespected again by any of these males. I have tried to leave message after message for Steven Sharpe to tell him about my experience, but he hasn't gotten back in contact with me since January, 2016. This has been a wild ride, because they only hire Hispanics and no other nationality and to me they need some diversity to make a person feel like it's okay to enter their store, but what can I tell you this is the way it is. Take trip into the store and you will see what I am talking about, they seem nice at first but once you sign up then they treat you like garbage. *
