Last year I recieved a mail offer with voucher for $1600 toward a vaction at Ramada Plaza Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. I called the numeber and spoke with a rep. By the end of the phone call I paid $600 toward a second honeymoon for my husband and I to celabrate 10 years of marriage. The remaining fee of $600 for the vacation is due at the time I decide to schedule the trip. I haven't reserved the trip yet. Especially now since I've read the horror stories of people that have already taken the trip. I know the cancellation period has passed yet I don't believe the company should be able to keep my money. Due to the law suits that have already been file and the money that has already been refunded. I never signed anything. Is there any action I can take?

Rebuttal:
Well for once I didn't fall for the okey-doke. Probably because it didn't come in the form of a job, lol. Inside joke. Scamming companies are spreading nationwide. Yes I know it's always been around and will continue to but in light of 9/11 you would think people would have some compassion and generosity in the world. Geez, I'm feed up with the whole lot of scam artists. I hope we can start getting some people and companies arrested.
That would truly make my day. Thanks for the warning. I just recieved the email that told me it was a free trip which I knew it wasn't. A guy called me last week and I asked him straight out how much it would cost and he actually told me the truth. But after reading this I will not be booking the trip. Thank you, you save me from another scam.
