I was looking at the weather report on Channel4newstoday.com. There was an ad about " Penny Auctions Exposed: 95% Off Retail Possible?" This is what I read:

"Step 1: Register as a user at Price Shuffle and get your bids.

Use promo "Shuffle100" to get 100 bonus bids on signup!
Promo Code Expires: Wednesday, November 3, 2010

Step 2: Search the auctions until you find an item that appeals to you.

Step 3: Start placing your bids.

Step 4: When you win the auction, you'll be taken to the checkout where you can buy your item at a deep discount! It's really that easy!

Conclusion - Overall, I had a very positive experience with Price Shuffle , which was very surprising to me. What once seemed impossible has now turned into a reality, a possibility to get 95% off retail! Everyone at Channel 4 News now uses Price Shuffle for all their shopping needs."

NO WHERE does it state that there is a $149.95 fee for looking at or registering with their site. I firmly believe that they have 2 websites with a tracker attached. The first website that does not state anything about the 149.95 fee, and the second website, the one you go back to to see if what priceshuffle is telling you is correct.

...first let me state..I am not defending this site...there are 6,234 reasons give or take reasons they are a SCAM...

But..did you not wonder how any business could survive if they were selling merchandise at 95% off retail? Most retailers these days are lucky if they make 10% on core product.

Then did you not wonder why you were submitting credit/debit card information?

If you were not aware...let me inform you...

Anytime you give out credit/debit card info online...you should logically assume that you are authorizing someone to charge the account.

I agree they link you to a different page once they have your IP address...and this is ONE of the many reasons they will be shut down sooner or later..most likely sooner..but regardless, if people would refuse to give out credit/debit card information online..at least before they investigate and not trust phony news reports (who the HECK is Channel4newstoday.com????), they would not have any charges like this show up on the account.

Oh wait..I went to channel4news.com. It seems to me it is a website promoting these penny auction gambling sites and not really a news website. Notice not a SINGLE icon in the header is a link?

So are you so reckless with your finances that you go to do something as innocent as to check the weather online and then get suckered into this gambling fake auction site scam?
