Priceline.com has recently completely screwed me out of $150. I had used them a few times before, so it wasn't like I didn't understand the system or was careless.

Anyway, I was booking a trip to London with a return date between Dec 14th and 20th (after my school ends). Well, they accepted my price, but gave me a return date two weeks PRIOR to what I asked for. I was completely sure it was their error and not mine, as this was completely off my requested dates, and totally out of the question for me with school.

When I called them, they said I could either resubmit a new request (which would have to have new dates and probably a higher price tag), or cancel my tickets for a $150 fee. When I explained it was their error and not mine, they said there is nothing they could do about that.

The moral of this story is never, ever trust Priceline. Use cheaptickets.com or someone else. As you can see, if THEIR computers make an error, you will be forced to buy tickets at a higher price than you would otherwise or pay $150. Either way, Priceline wins with what should be a completely illegal scam.
