This is what I wrote them before I filled for a civil suit, the whole story is in the email. I asked for a refund or another truck on 06/28/16. Request made to Blake COO of OTR Leasing and Matt Muller manger of operations for OTR Leasing. I made this reasonable request after the lease purchase of a 2012 Kentworth T700, that I picked up on 06/21/16. Before purchasing said vehicle, during the test driving process. I let Chad Hall operations customer service know that the check engine light, the engine fan, the a/c unit, and the clutch was incredibly hard to push down, and needed to be checked/repaired before purchase. I also asked about several drive tires that looked dry rotted on the vehicle, and if they could be replaced. Chad Hall then informed me that the truck would be placed in there shop and fixed. This was on 06/20/16, we returned on 06/21/16 to sign paperwork and pick up vehicle. After Chad Hall informed us that the shop had fixed said issues with the vehicle, we signed the lease for OTR Leasing. When we had possession of the vehicle and proceeded to get the truck placed at a company. Around 200 miles out the all of the same issues that where brought up before I signed the lease had started malfunctioning again. With the acception of the clutch which was the same as before when I test drove the vehicle the day before, very hard to push down or engage to the floor.

I immediately began to contact Chad Hall and Terrance Abney salesman for OTR Leasing, about these issues. Which resulted in a long list of emails and phone calls that did not get resolved until 06/27/16. On said day I was on the phone with Matt Muller trying to coordinate getting said issues fixed, and the transmission went out at the time of coordination. At which point Matt Muller implied that we had to bring said vehicle to Kansas city, KS to be placed in there shop Full Throttle for said repairs. When we arrived on 06/28/16 we where at shop for hrs with no contact, after the fact of letting shop and Matt Muller know we where there. In which time my bro and I went to the OTR Leasing and had the conversation of receiving a refund or another truck. Blake informed us that was a very very small chance of that happening, and that they would personally have said issues repaired. After the truck was placed in the Full Throttle shop and supposedly repaired, upon picking the truck up on 07/01/16. The transmission was repaired, the a/c unit seemed to be in working condition. As we proceeded home, we didn't make it to Joplin, Mo before the a/c unit was nonfunctional again. I immediately contacted Matt Muller through email and voice mail. In which time I placed truck in TA shop for a estiment in which time we where informed they could not fix the issue.

I put the truck in Transport America shop and they fixed said issue with a/c unit, at which time Matt Muller said I would be reimbursed for all expenses paid out for repairs on the vehicle. Which resulted in only trying to give a credit towards a maintenance account that he only verbally stated just like every other incounter dealing with issues on this truck. And OTR Leasing would not reimburse the cost of fuel to and from Kansas city, KS, after we where told the only place they would fix the transmission was in Kansas city, KS. On 07/19/16 one of the tires I pointed out with concerns of dry rotting blew out. I contacted Matt Muller about this and Chad Hall. On 07/21/16 while backing into a dock door, the clutch lever broke. The same clutch that I informed Chad Hall before signing lease about, the same clutch I informed Matt Muller and Full Throttle shop about when it was placed in shop for all other said issues.

Today marks one month of having this truck in our possession and we have encountered all of these issues in this short amount of time with the only thing being fixed at OTR Leasing expense is the transmission. OTR Leasing didn't even have the decency to give a credit towards my truck note for all the repairs and issues that I have personally had to come out of pocket for, since signing a lease for a vehicle that I was told had been fixed prior to me signing the lease and paying $5,437.50 upfront for. This truck has proven beyond lemon laws, and OTR Leasing representation has proven incompatible or careless of that fact in resolving the issues placed upon me the consumer for there repeatedly in functional piece of equipment. So for the third and last time, would rather not do business at all with OTR Leasing because of the issues with said vehicle and the way they are being handled. So I am requesting a refund on my down payment.

If I am to be forced into staying into a lease contract with OTR Leasing because they refuse to issue a refund and let me out of an already breached contract due to there part. Then I must insist that OTR Leasing replace the vehicle I am in with another truck that exceeds the lemon laws of this country. Because this truck is a lemon, plain and simple. And if we dont come to an agreement with one of those two request I just made, the next form of any communication from me will be made by my lawyer. I expect to hear back from someone in OTR Leasing establishment before end of business day today in order to rectify this matter. If I don't hear from anyone by the end of day I take that as a response not to comply with my wishes, and from that point all forms of communication, transaction or any other form of business we have in place will no longer be made or excepted on my behalf until a court appointed Judge has ruled a decision on this matter. This is not a theart nor a bluff. I am 100% serious. I will be waiting on the response from OTR Leasing on behalf of this situation.

It seems like I am reading EXACTLY what happened to me and my wife .... I had a driver pick up a 2014 freightliner on 6/20/2018 about 40 miles out my driver received STOP codes due to a coolant issue and a cruise control fault alert, my driver checked the coolant which was nearly EMPTY as well as the OIL was at the MIN mark. My driver added coolant and things SEEMED ok until about 150 more miles when he received the same COOLANT code and STOP warnings. Contacted OTR and was told to bring it back and they would take care of it but if I got the truck home then it would be on me.... As I said the tractor was receiving shut down codes and was putting off so bringing it back wasn't an option. Took it to FL service center in St Louis where the truck stopped and had them look it over they found NUMEROUS issues, a busted coolant hose NOX sensor fault ON GUARD faults etc. Now OTR i.e. mat Muller and Chad are giving the run around saying that since it left the Kansas area that they can't do anything.... PLEASE HELP WHAT WAS YOUR COURSE OF AVTION, WHAT ATTORNEY DID YOU CONTACT..... PLEASE HELP

My issues have since been resolved.

We were able to talk out our problems and come up with a solution that was suitable and fair to both parties. The solution that we came up with I am satisfied with, so I can say they took care of my situation.

They have since then made a mense.
