OnStar OnStar needs to STOP BILLING ME! Warren MI
My simplified consumer nightmare dealing with OnStar:
OnStar updated to a 5g network making them non-compatible to my needs.
October 26th 2022 cancelled OnStar services to cease end of December 2022 via 800# cancellation phone conversation.
In January both my Wife’s and my credit cards were charged a $15 fee for OnStar services (total $30).
I called OnStar 800# and was told billing would cease and would get refund. OK.
In February cards had no refund and again billed $15ea. (OnStar now owes $60)
I filed formal complaint with the BBB prompting OnStar to call me informing me that they would stop the billing and refund my $60. Trusting that they complied I closed the BBB complaint (my mistake).
In March, no refund, Wife’s card charged $15, my card charged $14. (OnStar now owes $89).
Mid April I called OnStar cancellation 800# again and was informed that they would stop billing me plus I would get a refund of $90? BTW: I recorded this conversation (and will continue recording in the future).
I will be awaiting my credit card statement in May to see what develops.
They are not willing to share an E-mail address and many times stated that they only work thru social media (too unsecured for me). They suggested I share account # and VIN # over social media (FaceBook & Twitter) (screen shots of DM correspondence acquired for future YouTube informational video).
To OnStar; Just STOP BILLING ME! I do NOT have a smart phone and cannot even use your services, just E-mail me since I cannot work thru social media sites.
P.S. if you do some simple searching for OnStar billing issues you will find many complaints similar to mine.
