Liberty Mutual Insurance Company They had buried a clause in the insurance policy, that my agent sold to my company, that cost us an extra $1400.00 over our deductable of $1000.00, to have repairs made to my truck. california

They  said  that  this  additional  deductable  amount  was  due  to "betterment" on  our  vehicle.  "Betterment"  was  not  defined  in  the  coverage(s)  where  it  could  be  found  easily.   We  contacted  several  other  auto  insurance  companies  about  "betterment"  and  none  said  that  they  had  heard  of  it  and  that  it  was  not  something  that  was  in  their  policies. 

 I  did  NOT  renew  the  policy  with  Liberty  Mutual  and  will  tell  anyone  who  will  listen,  of  my  experiance  with  them. The repairs, costing over $4,500.00, were due to hitting a hole in the side of the highway pavement to avoid a head-on collision with a car that was in my lane. This was during a February snow storm near tahoe city
