IPA biggst scam around Buffalo Grove Illinois

I work for a construction, and my boss who is the owner of the company was contacted by someone from IPA, I have yet to find out where they got his number. Anyway one day a repersentative came by the office to meet with him, and this was the first I had heard of them. Well I heard him askin gher about a loan from a bank, apparently who ever he spoke to over the phone told him that they could help him get a line of credit.

After the rep left I asked him who this was and what they were doing for him. He told me that they were going to be helping him get a line of credit. I asked him how, if they were a bank, etc. He just said that the lady told him they could help him get a line of credit. (sidebar, my boss is having financial difficulties with his company and he let them know this)

Well a couple of days later, two reps from IPA came to the office and told him that they charge $240 an hour. They stayed the entire day in the office, they even worked through lunch. To be honest all they did was basic accounting and management work that anyone from an administrative assistant to a accountant could do for $14 an hour.

Anyway after they had done everything I told them they were not allowed to come back the next day per my boss' instructions, well they said they had to come back the next day and that it would be free. They spoke to my boss to get him to meet with them that morning.

Well the next morning they presented him with there "analysis" (again worth $250-500). At the end of the presentation they delivered to him a bill for over $7,000 upon which was due immediately. They failed to mention to my boss that they were charging him for their room, hotel and airfare, and that the hourly charge of $240 was for the two of them each (ie he was being charged $480 an hour) I wanted to tell my boss not to sign anything and not to pay, but they were pressuring him and I could then tell this was a scam! Anyway he paid and they were on their way happy to scam another person.

After they left I looked them up and sure enough they were ere. I immediately went to the BBB to file a report. (they suck and nothing came of it - we got a few calls from IPA saying they were trying to rectify the situation, but when my boss called back he got nothing)

Well the same day the reps got the check in their hands I called the bank and put a stop payment on the checks that I wrote to them. Then I told my boss. I contacted an attorney to let them know why we placed a stop payment. They never got their money, that was three months ago, now we have a "lawyer" calling us from Bell & Assoc named Jack Jones - he is calling from IPA (have they ever heard of caller ID) I wanted to tell himso bad that I knw you are not a real attorney! Anyway our lawyer is handling the stop payment and everything. I just wish we never dealt with them in the first place. I hope no one else ever gives them their money.
