The Northeast is one of the most dangerous places to put any trust in any Dentist without being completely researched and maintaining your Authority.
The IAOMT is a good organization in what they state they stand for, but the most dangerous and abusive Dentists that I have ever seen who injured me and over-treated and harmed me belonged to this organization.
The several "Holistic" Dentists I saw simply advertised that they were "Holistic" all the while not knowing anything about respect for a patient, how to diagnose properly and DISCUSS anything with a patient professionally, and were unskilled and unknowledgeable about chemicals, toxins in dental materials, and then caused injury from their unskilled technique. In additiona, they abused mentally and emotionally with severe arrogance, 'father knows best' attitude to further cause unthinkable harm to an innocent patient.
Dr. Martha Cortez, Dr. Reid Winick, Dr. Rossinski, Dr. Breiner, Dr. Kundell, Dr. Hinden, Dr. Urily May, Dr. Curatalo, Dr. Alex Shvartsman [suicide], Dr. Tsangaroulis and the list goes on.
The abuse and injuries cannot be overstated. I am still having to have major restoration after the terrible malpractice that I have suffered. And I have met other people who also suffered from many of these same people who should not be practicing dentistry.
The point here is just because someone advertises that they are "Holistic" and anything else to lure you in, be aware that many Dentists [most Dentists] know nothing about occlusion [yes, surprising but true] and are badly trained when it comes to minimally invasive dentistry.
It is great to say you belong to a Holistic group but this means nothing if you do not know how to open the bite for proper occlusion with the right techniques, practice minimally invasive techniques, properly utilize technology, know how to actually treat a tooth gently and with skilled, careful techniques, understand toxicity of many dental chemicals, and treat people with HONESTY and respect.
Communication was either dictatorship or dishonest and totally manipulative.
I hope more people come forward to warn others to be very careful when at any Dentist's office and research on your own so that you don't get manipulated into doing an invasive, dangerous and totally unnecessary procedure that only harms you.
Be very careful and never, ever "Trust" anyone just because they pretend to be "Holistic."
