My refrigerator was delivered on Friday; the delivery man said he could not remove the old refrigerator because there was no shutoff valve. (But there was.) A TI installer came the next day, to connect the ice maker, stayed two hours and could not complete the job. The next day a "special team" arrived, installed the ice maker, and removed the old refrigerator by pushing it to the end of my driveway.

When questioned, the delivery man told me that people rode around all the time picking up old appliances for scrap.I was promised upon purchase that my old refrigerator would be carried away. I called to complain, and they came after 3 days to pick it up. Later, when I went to my basement, I saw that they had stood on my freezer while connecting the ice maker, and bent the lid. When I contacted the Regional Manager, he asked if I had a photo of the freezer, before it was damaged.

He also informed me that the service tech would have to admit to damaging the freezer, and that the repairs would come out of the techs' pay. (Like that's ever going to happen.) By the way, both doors on my new refrigerator were scratched during delivery.
