I purchased my 2010 Cadillac SRX 2.8L Turbo at Pikes Peak Acura in Colorado Springs on November 23, 2015 because I travel between my home in Colorado Springs and my work site in Las Vegas, Nevada. I purchased the First Extended Service Corporation.

My Cadillac overheated and I pulled over and had it towed to a dealer here in Las Vegas, because I was not close to where I purchased I called and the person that answered said any licensed facility could do the work. The dealer here called the warranty company and was informed they wanted the engine to be broken down to see what happened to cause it to need a new engine. This would be at my cost around $1,400. The engine is a covered item and nothing will say the order of what happened if you break it down. This is an unreasonable request. The dealer mechanic and another mechanic both said it is normal procedure to replace the engine. It saves on labor costs.

This company has a history of not repairing and denying warrantied work by any means possible. This is predatory to people purchasing these contracts for just this type of event.
