I was contacted over the phone by this company on June 7th, and since I'd recently applied for a few cards, I felt like their offer over the phone was legitimate, and while I was hesitant at first, since $199 was a lot of money, the promised opportunity for a master card and a visa to help rebuild my credit seemed to be a good deal. They told me I could pick which date to have the funds debited from my account, and I chose a day a week in advance, as I was broke at the time they called, but I knew I would be getting some money within a few days. I was promised I'd recieve my cards "within 7 days of payment" when I was first contacted, and then as two weeks went by, with nothing showing up in the mailbox, I tried calling them back, and it took me all day to actually get through to speak to someone, and they gave me a rushed response that they didn't know why I had been told 7 days, as it normally took 7-14, and when I made it clear that this *was* day 14, I got a "well it can take 3-4 weeks, you should probably recieve it next week".. I felt really uneasy at this point, basically it was clear I felt I was being lied to, but I gave them the benefit of a doubt for another 5 days, at which point I tried calling again. This time, their voice mail was full, and I couldn't get through to anyone on the phone, probably because there wasn't anyone to talk to... I then did a web search, and found the whole thing to be a scam, at which point of course I filed to get my money back, and I am posting my experience here as well. I fell for this because I was desperate to try to get my credit back on track, but I failed to see the warning signs. Never, EVER give any financial information over the phone to someone who is soliciting you... it's too dangerous!! I mean seriously, even if I didn't get my money back I'm only out $200, but they could have ripped us all off for much, much more. As soon as my refund is in my account, I am closing that account!!
