Firestone Complete Auto Care Disappointing Service Indianapolis Indiana
My rear passenger window broke and would not go back up. Firestone quoted me a price for repairs that was $100 cheaper than what the dealership offered me, so I went with Firestone.
I should have gone with the dealership. Firestone removed the inside frame on the door and then found out they needed a code to program the window. They told me that one of their employees used to work for Lexus and would get the code.
I must have brought the car back three of four times. Every time I brought it back, they still didn't have the code The final time I brought the car in, I requested that they just put the frame on so I could take my business elsewhere.
Firestone wasted hours of my time and could not fix the window. I ended up taking the car to another repair shop, and they repaired it in one day. They had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned the codes.
The assistant manager there is one of the rudest and most unhelpful/unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my whole life. When I voiced my concerns to him, he just sort of stared at me. The manager there was OK and tried to smoothe things over, but the damage was done.
I would recommend that you shop around before taking your car here.
