I am a black American who attended an auction at Case Antiques, and auction house in Knoxville, TN on January 25, 2020. My experience was horrible! Every time i raised my hand to bid the auctionere would intentionally overlook me and refuse to take my bid.
I was the only African-American at the live auction. I noticed a great deal of the lots being auctioned were Confederate realted civil war items, many clearly praising white supremacy. Needless to say I was not allowed to win any lot and left digusted. This patehtic excuse for an auction house should be called out as racist!
