Capital First Consumer Group ripoff First Capital Consumer Group aka First Capital Bank issues Fradulant Credit Card offers Buffalo New York
I received a call from Capital First Consumer Group, of course I didn't realize that was what they were called as the woman stated that she was from First Capital "Bank". They offered me a Mastercard with a credit limit of $5,000 and an APR of just 4.9%. They debited $19.95 from my checking account (I was stupid enough to give it to them!).
I then received a call 1 week later from their "verification dept" that they needed to confirm my information. They needed to debit $199 from my account to activate the card in about 10 days. I realized then that it was a scam. Although they already got me for $19.95 I immediately called my bank and had my account closed.
I then saw all of teh complaints against them on the Rip Off Report. This company never returns calls! They are a bogus company and do not help you to repair your credit. I have 2 phone numbers for them, their reps all say the same thing. "We are experiencing a heavy volume of calls and I will need to take a message and call you back."
It's total crap! No one ever calls you back. Do not give anyone your bank info over the phone EVER! I learned the hard way!
