I too got a "guaranteed" approval certificate from Capital Choice. When i turned it over to read it's terms & conditions i thought about making an appointment with my eye doctor. It was printed SO small and light i couldn't even read it.

MY ADVICE TO ALL OF YOU IS THIS:

If you receive an offer in the mail for a credit card, do not accept it! Throw them away!! Unless you specifically requested that application be sent to you you're pretty much just setting yourself up. If it's from a name you know, like Citibank or Capitol One, or is bank affiliated, go for it. I had major credit problems in my early twenties. It took me 4 years to pay all the money back, but i did it through Consumer Credit Counseling (free). If you're looking to restablish your credit after having some problems, once you've paid the money back, start off with a department store credit card. It took me a while to "repair" what i had done.

Bottom line.....if you want/need a credit card, don't let it come looking for you! You go looking for it! (try your bank first!!)

I highly recommend Chase. You can go online and apply, and they don't try to "screw" you. You can access all you account info online, you can e-mail customer service who actually responds, and if you'd like to use your vocal cords, they even answer the phone! and their apr isn't outrageos. (no, i don't work for them!)
