Complaint Review: AutoVantage

AutoVantage Trilegiant Corporation Credit Card Scam Internet

First you rent a car with Budget, then Budget sells your credit card information to AutoVantage, then AutoVantage mails you a check for $8.25, and if you cash it, AutoVantage deducts $13.99 from your credit card each month for a year and $14.99 each month until you notice the scam.  If you contact your credit card to get a refund, they only refund 5 months' worth of deductions.  If you contact AutoVantage, they promise to refund the money, but never send you anything.  If you complain to Budget, they give you AutoVantage's phone number.

This is ILLEGAL.  I am a lawyer.  I am suing Trilegiant, AutoVantage's alter ego in Maryland District Court.  I am sending a copy of this complaint to Budget, and I am going to close down this scam.  Contact me if you want to join in the fun.

I nearly spit out my tea when you said you're a lawyer!!! That is one of the funniest things I've ever read!! If you WERE a lawyer, you would know that these types of checks clearly state what your endorsement will do. In fact, it's stated directly under the endorsement area. It's amazing that people will just sign anything without reading it. Come on, it's common sense. Is it a sneaky tactic?? Sure! Is it illegal? Hahaha, absolutely not. I bet you think the BBB has power too. If you are a lawyer (HAHAHA), you need to retake the bar. Good luck with that lawsuit. You're gonna need it.
