Johann Quintero came to my home and discussed the replacement of my AC and furnace.  Apparently he called me because I had been searching the internet comparing AC units.  He and I discussed that I wanted a 2 stage, 16 seer, 4 ton unit.  The next day he emailed me estimates on a few different makes:  Trane, Lennox, Goodman, and Bryant.  My first choice was the Lennox.

A few days later he came with the all new Lennox.  Then it was found to be a 14 seer.  Johan said they gave him the wrong units.  He suggested I get a Bryant, the Bryant Evolution model.  I went along with him.  The next day he arrived with the Bryant.  He and his helper installed everything.  I paid him in full.  I kept asking him for the paperwork on the Bryant.  He told me it was in the attic on the unit.  I checked, it wasn't there.

I started checking on the model numbers and found I didn't have the Bryant Evolution at all.  Johan installed the lowest builder grade Bryant Legacy.  I emailed Johan saying I didn't get what I wanted and paid for.  He emailed back and said,"the system I installed for you is what your home required.....The system we installed is great and will work proficiently to the standards you want."

I contacted another dealer and his workmen came to evaluate my system.  The system operates as a single stage, 14 seer unit.  They found that parts inside the compressor have been repaired (not new).  There was a crack in the furnace flue that was covered with tape.  Eventually the tape would have disintegrated and carbon-monoxide would have been released.  The drain pipe was not connected and the old pan was not replaced so the rusted area would have caused leaks in my ceilings.  The gas hook-up was not replaced. The transition from one area of air-flow to another was taped (against code).

I paid the company over $600 to do the repairs so the unit would be safe and operable.  The repairing company took pictures of the faulty installation and parts.  This was done within 16 days of the installation. I have copies of all the estimates, receipts, and communications.  I also have the pictures of the faulty parts and installation.
