Complaint Review: American Credit Solutions

My elderly parents were totally deceived by this unethical company. They, too, responded to the card received in their mail telling them to "activate" their card. My father thought the bank had a new procedure, so called the "800" number.

When requested, he gave them his date of birth, social security number, mother's maiden name, etc. They pressed him for his bank account number, but he couldn't remember it, so told them he would call them back.

Family members became very concerned when hearing about this!! We reported two credit cards as stolen, since he had revealed these numbers, and immediately researched this company.

In working with the local police department, we discovered the RIPOFF REPORT, and found American Credit Solutions right away. THANK YOU for alerting us before it was too late!!

We have taken all possible steps to protect our parents, including reporting this company to the Attorney General's Office (850)488-2221.

If you have revealed personal information to this company, put a FRAUD ALERT on the system at all three credit reporting companies right away.! Even if your account has not been debited you may become of victim of IDENTITY THEFT. For information on how to proceed, see the Federal Trade Commissions official website at consumer.gov/idtheft.

My parents were fortunate to have a family member who was familiar with these resources, since my job involves fraud research. I hope this information will be helpful to other victims. LET'S PUT THIS BOGUS COMPANY OUT OF BUSINESS!!!
