Took car into all tune & lube Bankhead Hwy Mableton, GA. I was Quoted a price of $69.90 parts & labor. Later I was told had to use only AC/ Delco plugs add $5.00 total $74.90 + tax ok. Now I'm told need new wires parts & labor $ 109.90 + tax. Now car is ready my is now $195.80 incl tax.

I never heard of such a ripoff in my life.
Now I'm angery told them to take the wires out and I'll pay for the tune up. They said ok but there would be an additional labor charge. I filed a complaint w/ BBB asking for a refund, I'm not holding my breath.

...this looks like another lack of communication between the mechanic and customers.

Rebuttal:
Unfortunately, this looks like another lack of communication between the mechanic and customers.

Spark plugs can sometimes be a problem if you use other than a certain brand. This is learned by experience. In Saturns, quite a few folks have not done well with Bosch platinums, although they're usually great.

Regarding wires, many times they do need to be changed during plug replacement.

If the shop had only told the customer this before doing the work, they're have been no problem. The customer could have accepted or declined the extra cost plugs and/or wires.
