WHILE SURFING THE WEB I CAME ACROSS A SITE CALLED USENET.COM. AS I PAGED THROUGH IT IN THE SIGN UP AREA, I SAW THAT THEY WERE OFFERING A 30 DAY TRIAL. THE LARGEST AMOUNT OF SERVICES WERE UNDER THEIR "PLATINUM" PLAN, SO THAT'S WHAT I APPLIED FOR. I GAVE THEM THE CREDIT INFORMATION REQUIRED AND PICKED OUT A USER NAME AND PASS-WORD. SHORTLY AFTER SIGNING ON AND SURFING THROUGH SOME OF THE INFORMATION I REALIZED THAT THIS SITE WAS NOT FOR ME. I E-MAILED INTERNET BILLING COMPANY (WHO I BELIEVES DOES THEIR BILLING)TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT THE NEXT DAY AND CREDIT MY VISA. THEY E-MAILED BACK THAT THE ACCOUNT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE AFTER A YEAR AND THAT THEY DID NOT HONOR THE 30 DAY TRIAL WHEN A PERSON WAS SIGNED UP FOR A YEAR. I CALLED [email protected] ON THEIR LAND LINE. I WAS TOLD THAT ACCORDING TO THE DISCLAIMER (WHICH,AFTER GOING BACK TO THEIR SITE I FOUND IN TINY, TINY ALMOST UNREADABLE LETTERS)THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO GIVE ME MY $ BACK AND IF I "BACKCHARGED" THEY COULD SUE. YES ,I HAD READ THE DISCLAIMER AFTER SIGNING UP. BECAUSE THE SITE IS OFFENSIVE TO ME AND I DON'T AGREE TO THE RULES OF THE DISCLAIMER, NOR DID I CLICK ON ACCEPTANCE OF THIS ACCOUNT CONTRACT, I AM GOING TO CALL MY BANK AND HAVE THIS CHARGE DISOLVED. WATCH OUT FOR USENET.COM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION, LOU ROBINSON my email is [email protected]
