*HELPFULL TIPS WHEN BUYING A USED VEHICLE FROM ANYONE
BUYING A USED VEHICLE FROM ANYONE?
Take the vehicle to a third party for an independent inspection. Take a copy of the Certification Checklist with you.
A signed Certification is not proof the vehicle has been inspected, repaired, or maintained.
OVERESTIMATING GAS MILEAGE
Beware of off the cuff remarks about the abilities of the vehicle such as proposed gas mileage. Our salesman claimed the car would get over thirty miles per gallon yet we are lucky to get twenty-three miles per gallon.
If it's not written on a preprinted purchase agreement, it makes no difference what claims are made about the vehicle.
UNDERESTIMATING ACTUAL MILAGE.
When first told of the vehicle the salesman claimed the vehicle had 24,000 miles on it. Actual mileage was over 28,700 miles.
Don't believe anything until you prove it for yourself.
AS-IS RELIEVES DEALER OF RESPONSIBILITY.
This form has Nothing to do with the warranty you buy or is included with the sale. You are signing your rights away for the condition the vehicle is in regardless of what some inspection checklist or Service Manager claims.
You have no recourse except to spend more money to try and achieve any satisfaction.
WELCOME TO THE TOYOTA FAMILY!!
