Universal Van Lines (and their owners) Will Rip You Off
We, too, were ripped off by Universal Van Lines (Moving company based out of Pheonix, AZ). We moved from Arizona to Colorado. When the movers arrived, in Colorado, with our stuff, they were driving two rental trucks (one being a Ryder truck, and the other I can't remember). We had purchased insurance (yeah, right!) from them at $0 deductible. As it turns out, I don't even think they have insurance. During one of my many phone calls with them, they flat-out told me that they were not going to cover any of the damages they caused, which came to about $5000.00, and that I should give up calling them anymore. Needless to say, I became very angry. The list really goes on, and on, and on, about how negative I feel about this moving company. I have spoken with employee(s) on the inside. It appears that the owners do this often. "This" being that they start/purchase a company, screw a bunch of people, declare bankruptcy, and then move on to the next rip-off cover-up of a company.
There are two main reasons why I am writing this article today: 1) I want people to know that this company is in the business of ripping-off honest people. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST. 2) I am in the process of "sueing the pants off" Universal Van Lines, and the owners, individually. This means I would like people, who also have had this negative experience with Unviversal, to write me so that I can build an even stronger case against them. Heck, if enough people write, this may turn into a class action suit. Either way, I am doing whatever I can to MAKE THESE PEOPLE PAY!
