Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Triton Custom Performance & Synthetics and its owner Robert Putscher refuses to honor their committment and contract to repair my motorcycle after holding it for nearly a month of failed and inept decisions to repair it.

On several occasions the business has made promises that my 2014 Honda CBR500RA would be repaired and ready only for those promises to be cancelled, dishonored or invalid because the business did not and does not actually know how to do its jobs, at least how it relates to the nature of my bike. After several issues at the onset, the owner, Rowdy Putscher, promised to have the vehicle ready and running at no labor costs (because there were issues throughout) only to change his mind 3.5 weeks later after receiving the bike and after he refused to respond to my messages and phone calls for nearly one week at the time. He only responded after learning that I wrote a negative review of his business on facebook. At this point, my belief is that the business has engaged in, each, fraud and malicious and deceptive trade practices.

I had my bike towed to him at the cost of $100 on July 5, 2018 because it wasn't turning over after being idle for some time. I told him that its my only vehicle and that I'd like to it to be repaired as soon as he could, but understood that he had other business to take care of.

Now he is holding my NON-WORKING BIKE hostage for $400+ dollars that he refused to release unless I pay in which I will, once again have to pay to tow somewhere else AND have to get repaired. On top of this, Triton has already caused me hardship in work, resulting in missed meetings with repeated failed completion dates including a time that I was told (and confirmed) that the bike would be ready on July 17, 2018 which is as follows:

On July 17, via facebook, I sent a confirming message that ready "can you please confirm that the bike will be ready at 1pm today" as was promised. He responded that he was "putting the bike back together", for which I interpreted that it would. I arrived at the location at 1 pm whereby Rowdy and another staff member were still working on the bike. I had a meeting at 4 pm and was compelled to wait as I had no other option and had already paid $17 for a Lyft to get to the location. at 3:30 the bike was still not ready and I confronted Rowdy who claimed that he was wrong about the issue and that it would be ready another day. I was visibly upset as I both had to cancel my meeting and wasted my money traveling to the location and would waste another $19 to get back home. We discussed that the fuel pressure regulator needed to be replaced in which I would pay for the part at an estimated $30 - $60. This was the second time that a date was promised for completion when I would later be told that there was "another issue."

  • At this point, I am in the process of retaining an attorney but have already done the following:
  • Filled a consumer fraud report with the Texas Attorney General;
  • Filed a consumer complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Fort Worth.

Requested that the business honor its initial committment to complete the repairs of my bike at no labour cost, as there is documentation of him saying so twice and various times over the phone and in person (with the understanding that parts would be paid for). This all given that it's sitll a month since the bike was received and nothing has been done.

They did the same thing to me. Basically extorted $300 out of me because I had arrangements soon after.

Sorry for what's happening. I wish I had stood up to them but I had to travel soon after so I just paid it out. I'm past the point of trying to get my money back but I hope you take it to them. If a mechanic is incapable of doing his job he needs to find a new profession and not try to make his money out of lying and tricking customers out of their money. Shame on you Robert Putscher.

I have only not promptly and properly repaired 1 bike, we chose to end the proffesional relationship with this customer because of un-reasonable expectations, not competence on anybody's part.

The expectation that we would provide over 20 hours labor free is absolutely insane. For this reason we stopped work on his bike and demanded payment for services provided to that point.

Owner has already admitted that bike was never repaired and that labour would be a no charge as a result of previous incompetencies. Stay away. Save yourself the money, the stress and the legal fees. 1 month after bike brought and nothing accomplished but a $500 bill.
