If I could rate NEGATIVE stars, I would!!! The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life... Not the front desk ladies, it was an older Indian gentleman, upper management I assume. Well our remote for the TV did not work. So he was bringing us up a new one, and I just so happened to be smoking a cigarette out in front of our room at that time. I was completely unaware of the"no smoking sign within 20ft of building" seeing as how we arrived late and night and I was already very tired. So he walked up and starting literally screaming and cursing at me for smoking. I was instantly apologetic and immediately went to put out the cig. Then he said, "don't put that out, just leave. Leave right now or I will call the police!" So I did, I literally just got in my car and left because it was my friends room and i didn't want him to get kicked out cuz of my cigarette. I was absolutely appalled by the lack of professionalism and the sheer disrespect shown to us, all over a cigarette that I was smoking OUTSIDE. Plus the rooms were very small and extremely overpriced. I will NEVER return to this hotel for any reasonand I'd advise you do the same. There is a Ramada Inn directly across the street, much nicer accommodations and hands down better service.

I literally just got in my car and left because it was my friends room and i didn't want him to get kicked out cuz of my cigarette.
- You were not even a guest in the hotel, that alone could have gotten you cited for trespassing and your friend kicked out, For all we know that was the actual reason you got kicked out.
You identified yourself as from Oceanside and apparently a smoker, which means you should be well aware of the CA anti-smoking laws(and makes one wonder what you were doing at a hotel in your same city).
Now, I am not saying they were totally right or wrong, or that it could not have been handled better since the only people who know everything that went on was you and the manager. However, in a lot of situations like this there is 3 sides to the story, your side, their side and somehwere in between the truth. So I wonder what the full story is here.
