Corruption in Pahrump

Pahrump Town Manager Resigns for "health' reasons?

The ink barely dried on the paper when the lid was blown off in this great mobile home park called Pahrump, Nevada. After finding out some property taxes were raised about 30%, the people were entertained by the resignation of the town manager. His reason was poor health. What else would it be? The day after he submitted the aforementioned document, he submitted another document rescinding his resignation, in which he stated he resigned under duress. Too late town manager!! The "cat" was out of the bag before you changed your mind!!!

The"cat" was a fairly large building, including utilities, set up right next to the town offices, on town property, for the specific use of the private company. The "cat" was also a contract signed with a private company to lease 70 acres of town owned land for 55 years at the rate of one dollar per year. The contract also had a proviso giving the private company the right to sub lease the land to business or industries as they the private company saw fit. Can you imagine having the gall of placing a large building on town property right next to the town office?

It was probably a good idea, come to think of it. Right under the noses of the town officials and town

Can you imagine having the gall of placing a large building on town property right next to the town office? It was probably a good idea, come to think of it. Right under the noses of the town officials and town employees. They would not question it!!! They would just think it was an addition to the town offices.

They probably would not notice it!!! Certainly the town's people wouldn't notice!! They wouldn't question it!!! They would just think it was an addition to the town offices. What a deal!!! The problem with the whole transaction is that public money is being used to fund a for profit business without the public's knowledge. The members if the town board didn't even know about this deal. So they say!!! Obviously some one knew about!!! But nobody is talking!!!

The heat is being placed on the town board chairman. Apparently some members of the town board are thinking the whole scam can be whitewashed if they can get the chairman to resign. This appears to be a power play on the part of the members who are participating in the coup. Sounds like a good deal!! Get the chairman to resign whether he is guilty or not, that would satisfy the people, and Bingo, the scam is covered and they are right back in business as usual. Good politics, but bad for the people. The board members are facing a felony charge over this deal. A felony charge which carries a penalty of ten years in jail and a ten thousand dollar fine. Do you suppose they are scrambling to cover their butts and save their skin? This is just the tip of the iceberg of the shenanigans in Pahrump. The "corruption" goes much deeper than what has been stated herein.

The "cat" was also a contract signed with a private company to lease 70 acres of town owned land for 55 years at the rate of one dollar per year. The contract also had a proviso giving the private company the right to sub lease the land to business or industries as they, the private company saw fit.

It has been learned that this same town manager also gave every town employee a raise with out the knowledge of the town board or of the people!!! The next town board meeting found the members voting unanimously to give the employees the raise retroactively so that none of those employees affected would have to repay the money. In effect they legalized an illegal action of the town manager!!! The people of Pahrump need to clean these people out of their government and they need to do it now.
